Chris Tynan, head of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing for Australia, is leaving the firm after more than 12 years to join Blackstone, as the US-based private equity giant ramps up its operations in the region. Tynan was part of a four-man team that this year led the sale of Morgan Stanley’s Investa portfolio of office properties in Australia to China’s sovereign wealth fund CIC for $1.79 billion. Tynan is reported to be staying with Morgan Stanley for the next few weeks to wrap up the Investa sale, before joining Blackstone, where he will report to head of real estate for Asia, Chris Heady.
Dale Wang has joined warehouse developer and operator Prologis in Beijing, as the company’s head of leasing and marketing for northern China. Wang joins the US-based logistics specialist from YiDA China, the parent company of business park developer, Dalian Software Park, where he had served as Deputy Business Director, based in Beijing. The Dalian University of Technology graduate first joined Dalian Software Park in 2008.
Angela Dang is now a commercial asset management officer with Shanghai Mapletree Management. Dang’s new position with the Shanghai branch of Singapore-based commercial developer and investor Mapletree comes after she spent one-and-a-half years as personal assistant to the company’s Shanghai CEO. Dang graduated from the The University of Sydney Business School in 2012 with a degree in accounting.
Jecky Xie is now Account and Marketing Manager with Joanna Real Estate, based in Shanghai. Xie’s new role with the expatriate luxury leasing specialists comes after he spent nearly four years with the agency as a property consultant. In his new position, the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law graduate will be responsible for building the company’s sales and marketing team, as well as prospecting for new business.
