China’s real estate professionals may all be fleeing typhoons and record heat, but a few hardy souls braved the job market to find new homes this month. This week we have private equity real estate expert moving to a new shop after nine years, an Aussie agency executive deciding to give Singapore a try, and much more. Read on for details.
Charade Poon has joined M3 Capital Partners as a Director, based in Hong Kong. Poon joins the Chicago-based real estate private equity firm from China Resources Capital Real Estate Partners, where he had served most recently as Chief Investment Officer. Poon had been with China Resources Capital since 2006, when he joined the firm’s predecessor, Harvest Capital, from Macquarie Goodman Asia.
David Fogarty has been appointed as Managing Director, Asset Services, Singapore, and Regional Client Director, Asia Pacific with CBRE’s asset services team. Fogarty, who previously served as Regional Director for CBRE’s Pacific operations, based in Brisbane, Australia, will now be overseeing the real estate agency’s asset services division for APAC, based in Singapore. The four-year CBRE veteran will also take lead responsibility for the company’s Singapore-based accounts with the region.
Alan Dong has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Manager with the office leasing division of JLL in Shanghai. Dong, who is part of the company’s tenant representation team, was promoted from Senior Negotiator after joining the property services firm in November of 2013. The graduate of Shanghai’s Jiaotong University also had experience with Knight Frank and the Langham Hospitality Group prior to joining JLL.
Jessie Chen has joined JLL in Beijing as a Leasing Consultant with the company’s retail division. Chen joins the property consultancy after spending just over one year as a graduate trainee with rival Colliers International in China’s capital city. Chen has a master’s degree in economics from Clemson University in the US, and completed her Bachelor’s degree at China Agricultural University.
