This week China’s real estate community sees another tranche of promotions at JLL, someone receiving an upgrade at Colliers in Singapore, and a new face at EC Harris in Hong Kong. Read on for more details.
Brian Fu has joined Dalian Wanda as a Senior Manager in the Acquisitions Department at the developer’s International Real Estate Center. Just last week, Wanda purchased a $900 million project in Chicago, which was just the latest overseas investment for the company belonging to China’s richest man, Wang Jianlin. Fu joins the Beijing-based company from China Carrie Funds Management Co, where he served for more than one year, after beginning his career with CBRE in Beijing.
Sam Shum has been promoted to Senior Manager at JLL in Shanghai. Shum’s latest promotion comes just one year after being promoted to the rank of Manager, and less than four years after joining the real estate service provider in 2011. Prior to joining JLL Shum served as Senior Leasing Officer with PropertyOne in Hong Kong, and he is a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Statistics.
Alvin Leung has been promoted to the rank of Manager at JLL in Hong Kong. Leung has been with the Valuation and Advisory Services department of the property agency’s Hong Kong office since 2011 and had most recently served as a Valuer. Leung who is certified as a LEED Green Associate graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2012 with a bachelors degree in real estate with first-class honours.
Raymond Tam has joined EC Harris is Hong Kong as Human Resources Manager for Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Tam joins the consulting and project management firm from competitor inProjects Group where he had served as Group Human Resources Manager for more than two years after joining the company in May 2005. Tam is a graduate of City University of Hong Kong.
Chloe Teo has been promoted to Senior Account Manager at Colliers International in Singapore. Teo received her new promotion after serving as an Account Manager with the real estate consultancy which she joined in 2005. During her time with Colliers the University of Singapore graduate was one of two team members leading a n new corporate office acquisition for Covidien in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Lily Liu has been promoted to Manager for Business Development at The Executive Centre in Shenzhen, Guangdong province. Liu moved up to her new rank after working with the Hong Kong-based serviced office provider since July 2013. Prior to joining The Executive Centre, the 2009 graduate of Sichuan International Studies University served as an Assistant with the CQ Whiskey Society.
