Colliers International has stepped up its market-tracking efforts in Singapore, bringing on board former Barclays Bank executive Tricia Song to head its research team.
The move means that the real estate service provider will be splitting its consulting and research functions, with former head of research and consulting Anthea To being promoted to Director and assuming responsibility for Collier’s consulting team in the city-state.
In her new role Song will be charged with reporting on the Singapore and Southeast Asia markets for Colliers’ clients, as well as leading the research team in producing publications on new industry developments. Prior to joining the property consultancy, the industry analyst spent the last four years as head of Singapore real estate and REITs at Barclays Equity Research and was the lead analyst for more than a dozen publicly listed Singaporean real estate developers and REITs, according to Colliers.
“The appointment of Tricia to head the Research team reinforces Colliers’ position as a leading provider for real estate analysis and research support,” said Tang Wei Leng, managing director of Colliers Singapore.
To, who previously served as an Associate Director while looking after both research and consulting, will now be providing dedicated advisory and consultancy services to developers, property owners, investors, occupiers and public organisations, according to a statement from Colliers.
After rejoining Colliers to take charge of the Singapore office one year ago, Tang has added a number of new people in leadership roles, including bringing on board former Redwood Group executive Colin Clark to head the company’s project management division in June of this year.
