It’s been nearly a week since our last installment here on Mingtiandi, but there are some good reasons for this. We’ve been especially busy trying to take care of all of the last minute details before Mike’s big trip to America. And here are our proud accomplishments of the week:

Damn all this prosperity! Overly optimistic fools drive up the cost of office space, you need to book a table even at bad restaurants, and even the dark blue taxis are hard to catch. For any business owner in Shanghai right now, however, the biggest shortage seems to be staff.

Another week begins.
Another milestone reached.
It was a big day in Rightsite history today as we received a copy of our business license from the Commerce Office here in Shanghai. This means we have a company. We are real, and we are legal. Next milestones coming up:

Today was another big day at RightSite as we hosted our first focus group meeting. Right here in Mike’s living room.
Since our little company still lacks understanding in some critical areas of our business, we are relying on input from friends through these focus groups to help fill in the knowledge gaps.

Today was the first day of the sixteenth week of Rightsite, and this week looks like it’s going to centre on building a list of requirements for the site, inducting some new team members, and getting our newsletters started. (Not to mention that ongoing office search).
